Meet the Team
Dean Wilson
Starting out as a sparky, Dean began Skilled over 10 years ago with a mission of providing an electrical service that was reliable, fuss-free, and provided a premium result to customers. Dean has had 20+ years of experience within the electrical industry and has managed teams and projects in almost all sectors of the industry. Dean has always been passionate about the electrical industry. With the success of his first company skilled electrical and his interest in providing better HVAC service to Cantabrians, the foundation of Skilled HVAC as it’s own enterprise was a no-brainer.
Gary Collison
Gary grew up in Canterbury from a young age, and started in the aircon industry 27+ years ago. He worked for some well-established organisations before operating his own very successful HVAC company for 12 years. After taking a well deserved break, Gary continued to work for reputable aircon and refrigeration companies, before connecting with Dean and the team at Skilled. Now his focus is on helping to grow and culture the company, within the Air Conditioning division, to meet its vast potential.
Jaideep Kamboj
Jaideep grew up in North India and has been in New Zealand for six years. He has a masters in Mechanical Engineering. His career began in design engineering for heavy metal and consulting. Following this, transitioning into sheet metal and HVAC engineering for an international company. This involved designing innovative air conditioning products. Jaideep now enjoys doing HVAC consultation and project management at Skilled Aircon. He is passionate about providing cost effective, reliable and versatile solutions. This skill set also enables us to help you with NZBC compliance. He is a registered producer statement author of the Southern Build Controls Group (SBCG). Jaideep is also a member of IRHACE.
Tali Kolofale
Tali grew up in Tonga before moving to NZ in 2011. He has eight years of experience installing, repairing and maintaining HVAC systems. Tali's training is in automotive engineering, specialising in heating ventilation and aircon. His experience in larger firms has solidified his understanding of engineered solutions & plans. He has the confidence and expertise to tackle our more complex commercial projects.
Glen Sole
Christchurch born and raised, Glen has 20+ years experience in HVAC services. He’s worked as both a service technician and senior installer. At Skilled, he both supports our operations and installation team. He manages the quality control on our projects, making sure all installations meet our premium standards for workmanship.
Owen Rogers
Owen was born in England, but raised in New Zealand. He began his career with a pre-trade, before moving into Heating Ventilation & Aircon studies. He’s completed his HVAC apprenticeship since, with experience working as an installation team lead. At Skilled, he focuses on the service, installation, and maintenance of HVAC equipment.
